Also close at hand is the Kensington Village, with another 240 retail outlets, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. 16th Avenue is available for those who want to go to the heart of downtown and enjoy some of the nightlife or fine dining opportunities that exist there.

Over the past decade, Rosedale has become a trendy, charming and attractive neighborhood, with a strong profile particularly among some of Calgary’s more affluent business elite. This has let Rosedale real estate prices to escalate somewhat. Last year the average price for a home in Rosedale was $860,000 and none of the home stayed on the market for longer than 30 days. Almost no condos sold, although 15% of the buildings in the area are condominiums, and many of them are available for rent.
